Rwanda Car Hire Policy
Our Rwanda Car Hire Policy serves as a binding agreement between the hirer and the vehicle owner, ensuring all clients using our vehicles comply with the terms and conditions outlined below:

Fuel and oil expenses during the hire period will be met by the hirer.Vehicle Use Terms
(a) Inspect the vehicle before hire to ensure it is in proper condition. No liabilities will be accepted after signing the agreement. Insurance covers damages above $150; damages under this amount due to reckless driving are the responsibility of the hirer.
(b) No replacement or modification of vehicle parts or accessories without prior approval from………………………………………………………
(c) The hired vehicle remains the property of ………………………………
(d) Only the authorized driver may operate the vehicle. Liability arising from unauthorized drivers is the responsibility of the hirer.
(e) The hirer must maintain the vehicle, including engine, oil, and other lubricants, and ensure security. Negligence resulting in damage is the responsibility of the hirer.
(f) Minor repairs up to 60,000 RwF may be performed by the hirer; amounts above this require prior notification to ……………………………………………
(g) The vehicle must not be used for sports, racing, motor rallies, towing, or subletting.
(h) The vehicle shall not be used for:
1. Transporting goods contrary to customs or laws.
2. Towing any vehicle without consent.
3. Driving while unfit (under alcohol, drugs, or other impairments) according to Rwanda Road and Traffic Act.
(i) In case of an accident:
1. Obtain names, addresses, and witness details.
2. Notify police if another party is involved or if someone is injured.
(j) Comply with insurance terms and pay any excess in the event of a claim.
(k) Alterations to these terms are void unless agreed in writing by both parties.Driving Time & Advice
Vehicle operation starts at 6:00 am and ends at 7:00 pm unless performing airport pick-ups or drops. Any incidents outside these times are the client’s responsibility.
Only the specified number of passengers on the agreement may ride the vehicle.
Insurance
The insurance policy covers the vehicle, including collision and theft, but not personal life insurance. Clients must provide their own life insurance.
Negligence-related damages (drunk driving, tire/wheel damage, cigarette burns, radio/badge damage, etc.) are excluded.
Excess cover: $300 for Toyota Rav4, $500 for Toyota Land Cruiser.
Overseas Use
Vehicles are insured for Rwanda use only. Prior approval is required for cross-border travel. Additional COMESA insurance and breakdown coverage apply for overseas use.
Fuel
Vehicles are supplied on a “¼ to ¼” basis. No credit is given for unused fuel.
Mechanical Breakdown
Replacement vehicles will be provided within 24 hours. …………………………………………… will fuel the replacement vehicle to deliver it; the hirer fuels the returned vehicle.
Speed & Wildlife
National park speed limit: 30 km/h. Stay on designated tracks. Violations incur a $150 fine.

Vehicle Return
Return vehicles to the agreed location during business hours unless prior arrangements are made. Late returns incur 1/5 of the daily rate per hour.
Payment
Preferred payment: cash on arrival or wire transfer in USD or Rwandan Francs using the company’s exchange rate.
Final Destination
Hirers must notify their start and end destinations upon vehicle pick-up. Any diversion from agreed destinations may incur penalties.
